Credo: Therefore more with pleasure and once a mistake, however, interesting ! (Cor Kee)
Have you ever heard an organ recital and got up after an hour with the unsatisfactory feeling not gaining anything from the concert
not understanding anything? Have you had the impression a virtuos artist "produced" himself, have playing for the criticism of colleagues and
newspapers, rather than the audience?
Would you like to hear an organist playing in a festive concert who, accentuates the beauty of the music and the desires of the audience
and not their own ability to control of this tremendous instrument. Are you interested in hearing the music of Bach, Pachelbel, Buxtehude,
Mendelssohn played in a way that is unfortunately only very seldom heard?
The current style of organ playing is technically clean, but smooth, streamlined and boring: contradicts to
my conviction as an artist. I play the organ to awaken feeling of eternal spirit of the music with participation of the listener; to transmit my
engagement of this marvellous music to the listener.
The audience should not leave a concert, or divine service the same as they entendered it. They may be enthusiastic, comforted or shaken,
anything but bored! They should return home taking with them what makes life worth living.
I try to unite the love and the enthusiasm of a layman with the technical perfection and accuracy of a professional musician and to put
the soul of the music in the foreground.
I have presented my musical abilities and ideals for public criticism in numerous national and international concerts. So far, all
appearances have been enthusiathically received by both the audience and the critics. On all my CDs you will
find interesting and orginal interpretations; in short a style of playing which communicates a lot to the listener.
